Moncef Genoud, Rollin’ Dice Productions, Gail Boyd Artist Management and Savoy Jazz would like to express their sincere condolences to the family of Michael Brecker following his death. Michael was a real friend and inspiration to Moncef, who fulfilled a career dream when he got a chance to record with Michael on “AQUA”. Their acclaimed collaboration was truly amazing and Moncef, though devastated by the loss of such an important figure in his life, feels tremendously honored that “AQUA” will forever be one of the very last recordings to feature Michael’s remarkable talent and unique musical voice. The world of jazz has lost a true giant whose legacy will never be forgotten. We would also like to extend our sympathy to label-mate Ravi Coltrane and his family for the loss of his mother Alice.
