Moncef is everywhere! He’ll perform at the 46^th International Festival in Carthage, Tunisia, on July 23^rd, with a stellar line-up comprising James Cammack (Ahmad Jamal, Nancy Wilson), E.J. Strickland (Ravi Coltrane, Wynton Marsalis, HerbieHancock), and Grégoire Maret (Marcus Miller, George Benson, Pat Metheny). After that, it’s off to Syria for another benefit concert for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, after the success of his solo performance at the Opera House in Damascus in May. Then it’s back to Switzerland for a series of concerts in Yverdon, Lausanne, Sion, and Geneva (see the “Tours” section). And the word at Rollin’ Dice Productions is that he just finished recording a new album with his Swiss trio that’s currently being mixed, so stay tuned for a second half of 2010 that promises to be swinging!
